How to Get Involved with Food Bank Gardening 2016

If you have a p-patch plot at Magnuson Community Garden and are interested in helping with the food bank program, contact the food bank coordinator, delivery coordinator, your pod leader, or ask a food bank gardener if their Food Bank plot could use another helper to help with watering, weeding, and harvesting. Time spent working with the Magnuson Garden Food Bank program counts towards the required volunteer hours for the garden.

 

Gardeners are encouraged to grow a row for the food bank donation program in their “own” P-Patch garden and to donate extra produce. If you are going to be out of town, contact Chris Budech or a pod leader to arrange a food bank harvest of the produce that is ready while you’re away. Please keep this in mind.
